Poesia in Bottiglia

Poesia in Bottiglia

Chi viene venduto sulle coste dorate

Generazioni e vite trascorse invano

Miami and all that jazz

Hi beloved readers. I know I'm really bad in keeping you updated with all the events, please forgive me. I started this new thing calle The Free Art Project just to have some fun and all of a sudden a cd is ready to be released. I'm amazed. I am already working on the second one. This will be the first of all a series of surprises I'm working on for you.)
Hopefully I'm starting to play with some local bands after a period made of false starts and I'm really excited. There are some interesting things going on here.
take care

yuk

Hey Folks!!!

So this has been a very busy day but I'm satisfied. I spent three hours this morning working on my new project and I finished the arrangement for Sam Rivers, then I spent the whole afternoon with the other guys in the residency rehearsing our arrengements. After dinner we met with Sam and we played our stuff. Everybody's was great! I feeel so blessed to be working with such talented musicians.
After a quick break we listened to Alex's new cd. Alex is the only other male in the residency besides me, a great Saxophone and flute player. Check out for Alex Coke from Texas! It was very interesting, everybody was giving an opinion about the recording and a lot of technical things.
To be equal I'll tell you also that Roberta showed us the cover of her new cd coming out soon. Roberta Pikett Trio. She is an amazing pianist and composer, she also helped me understand how much I like to play free, which led to my project the Free Art Show.
So goodnight to you all people, I'm going back to my room to work a little bit more on my project. Tomorrow's gonna be another really busy day.

Associate Artist

Mmmmm! Second day as an Associate Artist. Well the place is great, in the middle of a jungle, 20 people working on projects...nice.
Last night I started working on Sam Rivers' project. I haven't perfectly clear what I have to do anyway I will see it tonight at the next meeting.
He gave us one of the spirituals from his grandfather's book to work on. The melody line is a bit confused and that's the only thing we have. So last night I just put chords on it and played it to get the feeling. This morning I wrote a new melody line that may work with those chords and with the original melody, then I guess I have to organize the melodies and do an arrangement for a whole band. But it's not clear if it has to be done now or in the next days.

This afternoon we all have to make a public presentation of our personal works. I rehearsed a tune with pianist Roberta Piket which is in the group.

More in the future.
Have a grat day you all

mumble

Yo! ah ah

A man I met on the bus told me I don't spend much time in the same place. I guess he was true.

I had a great time in this little...very little town in Vermont but it's time to go. I can't wait to be in Florida. A few more days... goodbye Middlebury.
